speaker drive on high gain...

I messed with it and it sounded to me like a way to make a sound like speakers that are being pushed really hard [or not]...
I imagine that for some tonal applications it could be useful... but I doubt I'll personally find a use for it in may mainstream config..
 
I don't use it either. It's on a lot of the first 40 factory presets though.
