One of the folks who influenced my decision to buy the XL was Cooper - his YouTube vid showcasing all of the Axe's presets was simply the bomb. The other person who finally clinched the deal was Simeon and his amazing ambient patches on the Fractal web site media page - done with an Ultra no less (if memory serves)! Lots of recordings here showing off the Axe's ability to be heavy, djenty and just generally bad ass - great stuff. So here's a little something from the ambient side of the house showing again how ridiculously versatile these little black boxes are. This was done with an Ibanez Ghost Rider (P90 pups) into the XL, then into an A&H Zed R16 firewired into AcidPro 7. This one has some accompanying tracks behind it as well as some studio post processing. The patch was a slightly tweaked version of the factory Melancholia (F292).
