This is my area of expertise. I was Social Distancing before Social Distancing was cool.

Anyway since gigging is out of the question for the foreseeable future, I decided to try to entertain and inform via YouTube. I cleared out some room in my recording studio and built a small video recording studio.

I’ll be featuring the AxeFx and retelling some of my experiences in this crazy industry.

I’ve committed to releasing one video a day until this crisis is past.

If you enjoy what your seeing I’d appreciate some subscribers from the Fractal community.

So did you set up a blue or green screen? What video editing software did you use to sub in all of the backgrounds? Windows or Mac platform? I am asking, because I would like to do something similar.

I greenscreened my studio.

Lit it with a daylight LED tube I got at Home Depot for 10 bucks. I just put a cardboard shield under it so I can light myself separately.

I film with a DJI Osmo holding my iPhone and a DJI pocket Osmo for B roll.

All editing is done in FCPX.

Lighting the green screen is tricky. Needs to be evenly lit. Once masked out you can put stills or video on screen.
