Anyone tried the drives? Any noticeable improvement there?
I don't think so, they sound about the same. The time based effects sound significantly better to me.

If there was something new in delay algorythms they would probably have mentioned it.I don't think so, they sound about the same. The time based effects sound significantly better to me.

If you have a pop, you're power on/off sequence is wrong...One thing I like a lot about the III compared to the IIXL, is when it gets turned off or on, the pop is very quiet now. Of course, everything else is awesome. Another aspect is using the front panel, which is really easy, I'm approaching things in a different way that the with the IIXL. There are a couple of things I found that I'm pretty sure are in the IIXL, but going in from a different direction caused me to try them.
who the hell can listen to guitar on that sample rate?.... pfft
How seamless is the channel switching ? on the WIKI is says it's "pretty seamless".
Is there zero gap ?
It's more seamless than the channel switching on most real amps. How seamless is the channel switching ?
The gap bothered me on the AX8. It does NOT bother me on the 3.How seamless is the channel switching ? on the WIKI is says it's "pretty seamless".

Ya, I ended up using a scene controller on the input gain to go from clean to hi gain on my AX8 to get around the gap. It feels seamless on the III going from amp block Ch A to Ch B.The gap bothered me on the AX8. It does NOT bother me on the 3.
