I have been away from using the modeling in my Axe II for almost 2 years and just updated last night to 5.02.
Is the Atomic CLR still the considered the "cream of the crop" or has the Friedman come in as the new front runner?

There are numerous choices out there now, the Matrix NL-12, the Walliman from Xitone, amongst others that one could argue are at least as good as CLR.

I'm pretty sure the top of the pile still belongs to CLR, RCF for a true powered FRFR at the $1,000 point and for FR it's Xitone then everyone else.

It seems some are starting to drop in speaker size, so a 10" driver is gaining popularity.

Mick at Xitone came out with this little 10" open back port rig thats pretty cool!

The Yamaha DXR10 is getting some recognition as of late, light powerful but personally I think a little on the pricey side @ $599.

The Yorkville NX10c is a nice coaxial box as well light, good numbers and has some cool features @ $499.

Under $500 it's still pretty much the Alto TS 212, EAW zlx112p.
