So... I've decided to compare 13.03 to 14.00!
I have created a DI Track and then reamped 3 of the listed amps:

A Friedman BE-100 BE V1 with fractal gb m160 and fractal v30 with at4047 Irs
Diezel Herbert CH2+ with german botique 4x12 and kt77 and jj 12ax7
Recto1 Orange Modern with recto 57a and rnr a

I kept the same EQ Settings for each amp
and the only thing that is there is the same reverb in the exact setting.

Enjoy!

$0.000002:
  • The v14 BE has a lot of potentially but maybe not interesting low-level nose and hash that isn't in the v13 version. Somewhat different in harder to describe ways too, no conclusion on which I prefer.
  • The v13 Herbie is silent for me, and the waveform looks flatlined too.
  • Both of the Rectos have a fair amount of that hash I heard in the v14 BE. Again just kind of different, not conclusion on which I prefer.

I saw same prob with the v13 herbie being blank.

Prefered the 13 friedman but the 14 recto. Interesting.

Is it just me or were the FW 14 versions of all three amps much noisier? I seemed to catch a lot of noise coming from the pickups in the bits were you weren’t playing.

The Friedman 13 is good but then the 14 and both Herbies have the same noise really loud... Both rectos are equally noisy. I'm wondering if the Friedman 13 was recorded as you played it and the other 5 are re-amps? Maybe the noise got introduced in the reamping process?
