SKB Travel Case for Axe-Fx III and FC-12

All,

SKB asked me to gauge interest in a padded travel case for the Axe-Fx III and FC12. See the attachment for a mockup/rendering.
The price would be in the neighborhood of $500. 50 pieces would be the minimum order. If anyone would like to help arrange a "group pre-order" project, I can help to make the connections so this can happen. (A similar product offered for competitor products is based on an SKB "Standard" case. The dimensions of our products, however, require a customized version.)

This is a travel case for professionals. Below the FC is a 4U rack to holds the Axe-Fx III.

It would be similar to this:

Please don't bother to post any "No thank you" messages to clutter this thread.

Is the contact at SKB named Steph by chance?

Here is a Mock-up of the PS-100 idea modernized for the AXE III.

I would use the extra full rack space for my Furman Power Conditioner.

Each 1/2 rack space for my two wireless units (magnetic & piezo)

Who doesn't need a drawer for strings and junk?

Cubby for their guitar strap?

The entire thing is predicated on the necessary width for the FC-12 and two expression pedals.

ALSO, the top need not be so form fitting as the original, then there would be room inside to roll up cables and have them travel on top of the FC12.

Dunno. I don’t have the SKB’s specs in front of me.

Probably with a FC6, the FC12 is too wide.

The PS-100 is three rack spaces high, but only one rack space wide, which is 19.25".

It also was a dud, with few having been made and that was 15 years ago.

It’s wider than that, by at least 6”.

Let's assume you are correct, 19+6 = 25. The FC 12 is 20.5", so maybe with one expression pedal.
The ev1 is 4.25” and the FC12 is 20.2

I doubt it will fit when I used my Gator g tour pedal board case just barely accommodated those. I actually had to slightly bend the metal on the pedalboard part to make it fit.

ALSO, the III is 12" deep without connectors attached. Someone did a retrofit on the case to add some height for the II, but that unit was 14.25".

Super happy, I modified the top piece to hold my FC6, & I was able to mount a power conditioner on the top rear of the rack...I’m also able to fit my 4 wireless transmitters in a pouch on one side of the rack in the case & 2 other small pouches on the other sides that hold battery’s, picks, strings & basic tools.....& this whole thing rolls! I think I’m in love haha

Nice! Do you think there's a chance of fitting one or two EV-1s in there, too?

And how did you manage to shoehorn a power conditioner into the rack?

If you use an FC6 you could Deff mod the top piece more and fit an EV1 on each side.
If you have a 12 I don’t believe that would be feasible.

you could I suppose place the EV1’s in a pouch & place them in the rear of the rack behind the III &they should fit like that.

I placed the conditioner directly behind the G90, I’ve got maybe 3/8” clearance..I used 90 degree power & instrument cables to make it work but it works! lol

also have an amber LED strip mounted back there to help see as well as a removable key fob ledIncase I need to trace something.
proactively attached 1 6” extension into one of the power inputs on the rear of the conditioner & fed it to where I can hook up something extra Incase I need to Since I wouldn’t be able to access it at a gig unless i took something apart which I wouldn’t want to do lol
