Shutting off the tempo light

Hello,
I was wondering if there is a way to kill off the constantly blinking tempo light on the mark 2 and the mfc...
 
not on the Axe. people are covering it with tape as suggested above.

for the MFC, you might be able to change the switch to a "general" use and assign the CC# for tap tempo, instead of using the Axe-Fx function of "Tap Tempo". you might also be able to set Send Realtime SysEx on the Axe I/O MIDI menu to "Tuner" or "Off." i haven't owned an MFC-101 in a while so i don't remember if those ideas work.
