That Indian is beautiful

I watched World's Fastest Indian recently. Really fun and inspiring film.

I've always liked the idea of owning a bike, but A: Chicago winters. And B: Too damn loud for my ears.

It's not just there. I've been riding most of 40 years. It's crazy how much worse it is for motorcycles now than it was. In addition to more people on the roads, there was a big change when SUVs became a thing. Before that, it was pretty much just Volvo drivers that would pull out in front of you without a second thought, but now all of a sudden, 50% of the vehicles on the road would do it. They are in a tank, and just don't care.

The next big change was obviously texting/smartphones. I also deal with border traffic, which has it's own problems.

It doesn't keep me from riding, but it's definitely gotten more dangerous. Hopefully I'll still be riding when self driving cars become the norm.
