My updated pedalboard for 2019. With this basic setup I can go in front of my amps, power amps or go direct, with digital or analog cab sim. Also, I can record on the fly whenever I want and I can jam or study silently. I can do Mono, dual mono, stereo, Wet/Dry, Wet/Dry/Wet or even go to 6 amps at the same time without any phase or ground issues. I can do serial and parallel setups and tons of things I can't even think of. I was thinking about buying an Axe III but with this thing I'm quite happy.

Hey Bread...I have a new FX8 and wanted some advice on the Talkbox hookup. What is the best way to hook up the Banshee Talkbox where you can run the effect through the FX8 for delay, modulation, etc....

Thanks!

Updated my rig.

Coulda sworn I posted mine but apparently it didn't take. So here we go again. Carr Mercury V 16w amp, Roland EV5 (for wah), Boss FV50 (plan to upgrade that - not very smooth) and an EHX Mel9. Love the Mel9, spooky sounds!

Latest version of my FX8 board. MIDI to Disaster Area DPC-5 so my presets and scenes choose different drives and combinations of them. The Buxom Boost is getting a lot of attention...beginning to replace my old standby Tim/Timmy pedals. BB and Koko make a great hi gain sound. IMG_3224.jpeg

Pretty simple.. I see no need for any other pedals.

The board/ case is from Creation Music Company. It is their Blackout Flat Series 24 x 12.5 board and their Pro Series Soft Case 24 x 12.5 case. It says "soft" but it's a bit rigid, and extremely sturdy. It's perfect size, super light, and highly portable.

Nice. Simple is best, unless you have an overriding need for something more complex. That’s my favorite thing about the FX8.

Mesa Mark IVa Combo in 4CM with relay switching. Mission Engineering spring loaded Expression Pedal for Wah and a Yamaha D7 Expression Pedal for volume... and a beer ;-)

Hi,
do you use humbuster cables?
I also have a boogie mark4 ...
I tried 4cm with standard guitar cables, and I get a ground loop ... the next few days I'm getting humbuster cables, I hope to solve the problem with them.

Cheers

Hey everyone,
New guy here.. 2nd post.

Here's my current FX8 pedal board. White box is a custom made buffer pedal by my friend at StonegateFX followed by Dunlop 95Q. This is coming from a Voodoo Labs Ground Control Pro controlling a G-major 2 and a Control Switcher for swiching my amp channels (Splawn Nitro).

I am having my friend at StoneGateFX gut another wah for me that's non functional to convert it to an expression pedal to use the WAH built into the FX8. If I dont like it, then I'll look at using it as sorta a Divebomb setup with the Octaver or pitch shifer. Will post full rig pics next week.

Thanks,
Bash

Guitar --> Polytune --> Whammy DT --> Fractal --> Amp Input (Splawn Nitro). FX8 is also in 4CM in the loop of the nitro. Old Dunlop 95Q gutted and changed into an expression pedal. FS-5U used for dive bomb type effect.

Cab is either Front Loaded 412 cab with Vintage 30s or Vertical 212 Splawn with WGS Retro 30 speakers.
