im in canada, last news from cliff is " My recommendation is to use a forwarding service." wich means to me " dont count on canadian shipping soon...

so...

do i try to setup something with the ups store? wich means:

1- calling them to see if they can receive my unit and ship it from there to my home
2- setting up me credit card info so i can add their US adress to buy one from the yahoo store
3- trying to get one at 2600$ online
4- get it to ship to the UPS store
5 -hope it gets into my hand with no problems...

OR

1- buy one at 3000$ from ebay
2- hope it gets into my hand with no problems...

this situation sucks, but its now being 3 months with no shipping to canada AND no update. I am one loyal FAS lover and never one to complaint but now I just want my damn axe since there is no update on the horizon for tha canadian situation...

what do you guys think?

do I make sense or am i just mad and doing something bad?

let me know pls!

Yikes, $3K for no warranty... depends how desperate you are. Only you can make that decision. Not sure what part of Canada you're from, but for all that extra coin you might want to plan a road trip to Fractal HQ and see if you can get your hands on one that way.

Have you tried contacting Rob or Brad at Tone Merchants ? they might be able to do something for you.

That's where I'm getting my AxeFX II from. They gladly accepted to ship to Canada.
I should be receiving mine whenever Cliff sends them another batch of 12-15 units hopefully in 2-3 weeks(wishful thinking:D)

I am desperate, i have a power amp, a 4x12 cab and a full studio setup geting dust since 3 months waiting for the axe 2...

i'm not waiting another months with no update and fingers crossed in hope.

I'm either geting an ultra back ( wich would suck since I sold mine 3 months ago...) Or getting an Axe 2.

I might sound impatient or ungrateful but its really frustrating having gathered all that money from hard work (getting 3k for a paramedic is hard... well its hard for most of us I think...) and now being left out because im canadian... had I knowed at first, I would have kept my ultra and be happy with it.

I love FAS product, but this situation sucks. I come here twice a day and chek the facebook hoping for update but there seams to be no pogress at all, so I have to take mathers into my own hands.

Anybody have an idea how i can work this thing out?

peace.

Fractal road trip. That's likely your fastest, safest way to get an Axe-Fx II with a warranty. Not likely the cheapest, but you say you're desperate. Seriously, I would call FAS and explain your situation and say you'll make the long journey just to get your hands on one. As far as I've heard thus far, others who've made this commitment have been appropriately rewarded.

Question: if you drove to Fractal to buy one direct from Canada for the purpose of a warranty would you have to drive it back for service? Since the shipping is the issue holding back sales in the first place.

ok,

I just wrote an email to FAS to let cliff know Im ready for the 6h drive to get to him!

hell i'll even throw in some canadian beer!

READ THAT CLIFF! REAL MANLY BEER!!!!! lol

I really hope He answers me... i would schedule this trip with my 1/7 day off work and make the 12h drive in a day ( i'll try to sell this idea to my GF as a 'get away road trip...' lol)... damn if this is not commitment!

cross your fingers for me guys!

peace

Best luck! However, don't get discouraged if you don't get an e-mail response. Remember, Cliff is really busy. If you don't get a response, just pick up the phone and call them and explain your situation. I can't speak from a wealth of personal interactions, but the few times I've talked with them on the phone they've been extremely cool. It's also a lot harder to say no to someone on the phone than it is via e-mail. I can tell you for a fact that when I'm really busy, most of the non-urgent e-mails I get go in the "someday when I have the time" folder... you know, the one that's cylindrical...

PS Good luck with the Canadian beer...

I would consider buying one through the store and using Fractal as the shiiping address with your name under ATTN. Then pick it up from Fractal once it has been 'delivered'. That way Fractal doesnt have to go outside their normal sales channel and you dont have to use a third party USA address. 12 hrs is a fun drive. Break out the Eno CD's and watch the road unfold :)

damn...

my engrish is not the best since my main language if french...

i will try to call them if I dont get an answer to my email in the next few days!

thanx for your support guy!

i will need it if I make the drive to meet "the maker"

lol

ok, i'm getting my passport this week just in case! I just realise last time I went down to the US was befor sept 11 and no passport was needed back then...

that is of course not assuming that Dr Albert UngKlengwe is already living in the US with your cloned passport... on your credit card... lol...

"hmmm... Mr Vondano, it appears that you entered the country just a few days ago... and have not yet left.. please do enlighten us"
as they escort you off to a small room with no windows... and an admirable rubber glove collection...
