Setting the Axe3 up with my DAW question

Hey guys, complete recording newbie here. Im trying to learn the best way to setup the 3 with my computer. I am able to get tracks into my daw (fl studio) over USB. But when I choose the axe3 as the audio device mMy DAW I then cannot play back audio over my computer monitors. Is there anyway to use the axe3 for inputs, but still use my sound card for playback without having to switch the audio device?

Also if you have any general setup tips please share.

should I just hook up my monitors to the Axe and playback through the axe to make life easier?

What is your DAW, Mac or Win? Any other audio interfaces or devices in the audio chain? These are all relevant to the proper solutions

Windows 10, FL Studio (for now)

You can hook your monitors up to the Axe and use it as the sound card. Otherwise your options of using your interface with the Axe would be to use SPDIF. I actually prefer using the Analog outs into my UAD interface. It is an extra conversion, but it's not a problem for me.
