Not sure how good an idea this is, but an effect I've been working on is a ducked delay that keeps feeding back once the ducker is released.
Think about the ducker as it is - it is post the feedback loop of the delay. So, any playing mutes the delay output.
What I want is the ducker to control what is fed to the feedback stage and, when I start playing again, those delays keep ringing out.
I can achieve this with two delays in series, the first one has the ducker and no feedback (just the first repeat). I feed that into a delay without a ducker and feedback to taste. That works but uses two delay blocks. [EDIT: second delay should have mix at 50% to let the first repeat come through.]
