Sennheiser Momentum Hedphones - Any Good?

These are the "over ears" model. I can get a pair for about half price, but can't listen in advance. Apple sell them as a premium product, but not sure that means anything.

Mostly good reviews from what I can see, so I'll probably take the plunge.

Here's their meaningless marketing hype, with my smart-ar$e comments added:

Fusion of style and sound - sound is glued to the earpieces?
MOMENTUM is obsessed with detail - terrific: headphones with OCD
You can hear it - unlike previous headphones, which apparently, we couldn't hear
You can see it - awesome: we can see these new headphones as well!
Every stitch of its seams is accurately placed - by pigmy slaves
every frequency accurately reproduced - yeah, I thought their other models had missing frequencies
Its genuine materials are in complete harmony with each other - cool, I like harmony bands
It sounds the way it looks - it looks at me as well?
Rich. Clean. Premium - expensive

I've been listening to Momentums for about a year and a half. I have no complains, save the fact that they may be a little on the small side for some.

Just got them a few weeks ago.
Really like them for watching movies (I keep turning my head around thinking something was banging in the background but was in the movie).
A little thin sounding for the Axe tho.
Only real complaint is they're a little tight on my head.

ok, many thx guys

We have an apple store nearby, so I might be able to check them out there first

cheers

Momentums are not flat like real studio monitor headphones, so I wouldn't use them as my first choice for dialing in tones with the Axe. For music they're great.
