Scene button pushes

On my FX8, while in Footswitch Mode, to change to a different scene, I tap F1 and then the number button of the scene I desire.
To change to another scene, I need to hit F1 again, and the desired button.
This is 2 button pushes to access a new scene.

Is there any to have the FX8 stay in Scene mode, so I can change Scenes with one button push and not 2?
Thanks, John

Sticky Scene mode or just assign the Scenes directly to those switches.

Check out the owners manual.

I think what most people do is assign Sticky Scene mode to a Function footswitch. What I did is assign sticky scene mode to the top footswitch, engaged with a short-press. The same Function footswitch also engages preset-select up (foward) with a long-press.

Then the middle Function footswitch i have set to do a scene mode, non-sticky (i.e. it reverts back to preset mode after a scene is selected) when the switch is engaged with a short-press. That same, middle switch also engages preset-select down (reverse) with a long-press.

Then the lower Function footswitch, I have set to do tap tempo on the short-press and tuner egage on the long-press (which i think is the default setting).

This is much easier to do in FX-Edit than on the unit itself.

edit: "short-press" = momentary (i.e tap); and "long-press" = hold
