Saw Van Halen Last Night - Great Show

Axe-Master
4th Time for me - 1980, 1984, 199x, 2012

This was the best one for me perhaps because I happened to be sitting in the right spot this time sonically (previous show were "too" loud for me to hear anything).

EVH seemed to be in really great form and the band seemed very tight to me.

DLR's voice delivered and I was glad to see him not so over the top as he used to be in the old day.

The set list was great - all DLR era stuff.

I didn't expect much and was pleasantly surprised.

P.S. Is Eddie on the Wah pedal much more than he used to be or am I imagining it?

While watching him with 10 100w heads and 10 4x12s behind him I wondered if he knows anything about the axefx

He seems like the kind of player who likes to work within one basic palette of sound and doesn't use a ton of different effects or any of the things that might draw him to the Axe. He also has roadies every time he plays and guitar head like looking at big stacks (whether they're all active or not).
