Saving CPU: Master tips for compression and boost

Assuming I can use control switches for boost and compressor in the amp block and save a block or 2. Any tips for compressor in general, with amp? Mainly just need for my Nile Rodgers funk clean. Thanks in advance!
 
There’s one in the amp section that’s a cool sound. Little different than a stomp style but works great.

I believe the manual says the “pedal compressor” blocks are less CPU than the others.
 
The amp block has basic pre/post compression in the dynamics page. Still uses CPU, but handled by the amp side processor.

Edit - the amp block is truly amazing - imagine an amp head that had built in: pre compressor, post compressor, preeq, 8 flavours of output eq that can be placed pre or post P.A., 13 flavours of boost, variac
