That's what I figured. I guess I was just worried about latency of going through my AXE FX into an interface into my computer.

Not just in and of itself

But don’t go givin cliff any ideas like that because I bet he CAN create something like that and us guitarists don’t need that while he’s laser focused on the axe/fm Iii platform , because thanks to FAS we are ALLL the better for it

There is a market - I’d buy one!

There’s currently one company that does the “vocal stomp box” thing really well, but I’ve never been impressed with the audio quality, even of their flagship model. It added a lot of extra noise in the mic signal chain when I had one.

For maintaining nice vocal signal quality and having good effects, IMO the options are:

• either using a digital mixer, which can be fine, but most are not set up to easily turn on/off effects via foot control
• using software, which can of course gives you tons of options, but you have to bring a computer to the gig, and there’s something to be said for dedicated hardware
• using an external mic preamp with a Fractal unit
