Hi
I've been using a Roland FC-300 foot controller for the last 4 years with my VG-99
Since I've got an Axe-FX II, I wanted to know if we could use an Ethernet Cable connected to the FC-300 RRC2 slot into the MFC slot of the Axe-FX II and control it .

I've tested it but the Roland doesn't seem to be able to send any program or cc to the Axe-FX II. It only powers up with the Ethernet Cable in.
I could still plug a Midi cable and control the axe but I'd prefer only using 1 cable ala MFC-101.
Anyone know how could I get this working?
Changing SysEX number somewhere?
I'M a bit confused.
thanks
Carl

No, you are going to have to use a MIDI cable. That cat5 connection is proprietary between the Axe-FX II and the MFC-101. Someone asked a similar question in a different thread regarding the same thing with a Liquid Foot Pro, and Cliff's answer was a resounding NO.
