news like these always make me aware of how quickly the years go by and time doesn't stop for anyone.
started playing the guitar during the 80s and Vixen was one of those bands you had to check out those days.
used to have a vhs (that was completely worned out) that sprung to mind when her name was mentioned.
still recall her looking resplendent while being interviewed by host jeff baxter..
took me a while, but found a link to the vhs i was referring to:

I just saw her on TV the other day. I have their albums and always liked her playing. That's too bad, another loss for my era of music. RIP

Of course, it helps to make original music, and they were quite derivative. The rest of the band could've been guys, and it wouldn'tve mattered.
