How many of today’s big stars have the self assurance necessary to be able to make fun of themselves or their art? Not many.

I saw this years ago and I just found it.

The Cars were an essential part of the soundtrack of my youth. Their first album is about as good as it gets. Ric was a great song writer and Ben was a great singer. What a great team. And Elliot Easton played some truly memorable guitar solos.

Tim, I didn't realize how good Elliot Easton was until a couple of years ago when I had to learn a couple of his solos for a gig. Funny how that works.

Man I loved the Cars growing up as a teenager. But.....my favorite song is 'Mister Meaner' off Ricks album Fireball Zone....sick bass in it.

75 years old for a rocker has got to be considered a good innings though. I think I'll go for a drive down memory lane and go put a cars album on.
