Currently STACK and HOLD allow infinite repeats, w/ or w/o input signal being layered on respectively.
WISH: Independent decay envelopes for STACK and HOLD modes so they can be less than infinite for all blocks that support stack/hold. This could be thought of as a gain control for the recursive delay line.
Parameter ideas:
WISH: Independent decay envelopes for STACK and HOLD modes so they can be less than infinite for all blocks that support stack/hold. This could be thought of as a gain control for the recursive delay line.
Parameter ideas:
- Stack Fade %, Hold Fade %
- Fade % = decay rate (gain reduction) per second (or per tempo, more adv.)
- Default: 0% = infinite repeats
- Above 0%: successively fade by that amount per second or tempo time
- 100%: clear out the delay line
- Both modifiable with controllers
- Fade % = decay rate (gain reduction) per second (or per tempo, more adv.)
- OR: Stack Fade Time, Hold Fade Time
- Fade Time = time in seconds for signal to be 1/e of initial value
- Possible values: 0..1000, INF
- Default: INF = infinite
- 0: clear out delay line
- 1000: 16 minutes
- Both modifiable with controllers
- Fade Time = time in seconds for signal to be 1/e of initial value
- Benefits:
- Generally this would allow slowly clearing out the delay line ("tails") at a desired decay rate
- For Hold, the value could be changed via a controller to fade out the hold as desired (say at song end)
