Retro/Modern I Dig: Millimetric Instruments

I don't often encounter retro-modern guitar designs that I think look excellent and would be highly functional as instruments. Bilt, maybe? Ran across Millimetric Instruments today courtesy the Chase Bliss instragram account and these look stellar! Modern with a bit of retro in the paint scheme. Functional in their appearance and some thoughtful appointments like the deep pockets on the "wings" for easy access to the highest register. They make their own lipstick pickups and mill their own bridges.

Canadian-made too!

I think...I need to try one.

An ambidextrous desgin that looks pretty, pretty, pretty nice.

And this is the form I'm really crushing hard on:

With two gold foil pickups. Mmmmm.

And this one is pretty nice, little square-er:

Wasn’t too wowed by them until I went to the website (which is loaded with additional images). They seem to be doing some pretty-good work.. innovatin’ ...I Wonder what the weight would be on the first guitar, just purely interested in the design is all, and if they required extra weight further back (on the body) to help balance the guitar.
