Restting an Amp Type

Folks -

We have all read that in order to reset an Amp, you change to another amp type and then back to the original amp. Per the other posts, this resets the default parameters of the amp. If this is the case, don't ALL of the amp's parameters become reset, and require a 'rebuild' of your custom parameters for that amp for that patch? Or are the amp parameters that are reset internal parameters that are not exposed to the user?

After resetting, you might not need to adjust the same things. I suggest resetting and playing the amp at default for 5 minutes or so. Adjust with your ears not with your eyes. Just because you used to change the power amp low cut (or whatever) doesn't mean you should reset the amp and then just go back to the same settings.

Every firmware update I've had to adjust fewer and fewer advanced parameters.
