Resolved - Noisy USB-C

There is a lot of noise when the USB-C cable is connected from the VP4 to my computer.

Everything is plugged in the the same AC circuit.

Tried two different USB-C cables.

The same computer works perfectly when connecting my AXE FX III through traditional USB.

The noise goes away when I disconnect the USB-C

I only have one USB- C port on my computer.

Any ideas?

Good to know !
Yup. It makes a difference. Ideally, you'd come from a single outlet, with identical power cords of identical length. The idea is to make sure power entering one device is identical to the power entering the other device.

Fortunately, coming from the same receptacle is usually good enough.

Unfortunately, I am still having the same issue. I plugged the amp, pedal board, and computer in to the same Belkin power strip and also tried a second identical power strip.

I also unplugged my usb powered Focusrite interface.

None of that helped.

See my post above. A ground isolator for the USB on the VP4 should clean things up tremendously.
