anyone got a good red hot chilli pepper sound like "californication" or "can't stop"
or a suggestion of how to built them?

i searched but couldn't find a preset...maybe because it is simple to make?
anyone who knows settings of red hot chilli peppers could help me?

I'd start with a Google search to find out what gear the guitarist uses:

The first search result returned was this:
GuitarGeek | john frusciante of red hot chili peppers

Then I would try to build that in the Axe-FX. The amps he uses are similar to the Marshall Plexi (the Axe-FX has 2 versions) so I would start there for amps and then try a few of the 4x12 cabs (try Green , 25w or 20w). Then experiment with adding the effects.

The key really to me is the strat, for the real cutting through tone. if you use humbucker guitar, adjust your tone settings for a bit brighter sound. I'd try to not over do the gain, push more with the power amp sims and like rickboot said plexi sims would be good i'd bet.
IMHO, Frusciante isn't about the tone of the amp, it's more his style of playing that makes his tone, real percussive, with lots of ghost strums, and muting with syncopation is probably more important for his tone than the amp settings themselves. This is not the case for me with other guitarists, like Slash, Gilmour, EVH, etc. They are a combo of techniques and the settings. For me Frusciante is more the feel than anything else.

i agree....frusciante is more of a feel guitarist....that is why i said maybe the patch is easy to make....then you have to master his techniques....i would follow the amps and cabs you proposed and i believe the tone would be good....
do you know if he uses a special effect like reverbs echoes etc?
from what i am hearing from his songs i believe that they are pretty straight forward....amps and cabs....

Straightforward? Here's part of his rig:

Red Hot Chili Peppers' John Frusciante, Barry Cleveland

for songs like californication and can't stop i think that the sound is pretty straight forward....i am not a specialist in red hot but i can surely tell that with axe fx i am sure that you can replicate every sound you want....i have seen axe fx replicate sounds (and i have those patches) for many times more difficult rigs like edges...
butg you r right...every musician has a rig that is complicated....

No argument from me; I take my Axe-Fx Kool-Aid IV and in large doses. I, too, use some Edge-like presets that continue to amaze me. I'm only surprised that Mr. Evans himself has not incorporated it into his rig. I agree there probably aren't many Frusciante tones not achievable with the Axe, at least for the green-lettered cognoscenti :)

I agree with everyone that it should be more than possible to create sounds very close to his. But I'm sure many people like myself struggle to emulate the sounds we hear. What I hear & try to program in often ends in failure.
It seems to me personally that the only way I can get a decent sound is to use one that is close in the first place. Sometime us less able to create our own sounds need a helping hand.
Just saying.
