Recording Backing Track Audio from YouTube

Is there a way to do this on a Mac? I’ve googled and just get 3rd party software download links that look suspicious. I just wanna record myself jamming to a backing track and am too lazy to create my own. Plus I like other folks tracks because it’s out of my comfort box.

Also some of them offer them for sale but usually in Europe. I’m weary of sending any account info.

Audio Hijack 3 will record any audio that you can hear on your computer.......look it up!

I never have used a mac, but you should be able to record the you tube audio into your DAW and then record your self, or what ever on other tracks.

tons of youtube downloaders out there. I use y2mate all the time

I use https://rg3.github.io/youtube-dl/ to grab things from YouTube (and other place). If you're on macOS you can brew-install it.
