Plugged into my Apollo via XLR Left-Right.
Typically I will record mono since there are no modulation/delay fx going in.
When I monitor the left channel thru the Apollo, it sounds like it should, in mono.
When I monitor both L and R panned accordingly, it sounds wider and totally different.
There are no stereo blocks in my chain - everything in mono.
When I recorded a stereo track like this I zoomed into the waveform and indeed they are not identical.
Is this expected behaviour?
