Recommendations for a kids guitar?

I wonder how many kids that happened to? There are literally3 of us in this single thread with almost
an exact experience.

I will say I was content at 8 jumping on my parent's bed and pretending to be Elvis---even after I
quit lessons. It was way more fun. :)

Also, that empatghy for kids trying to do something that is inherently very challenging has helped.
Life lessons you didn't want at the time, but turned out to be instrumental. :)
My mom took me for lessons to a local music store. After the first lesson the guy tried to explain to her I needed a better guitar and of course offered to sell us one. She thought he was conning her!

"Girlfriend's guitar" showed up today. Nice little guitar. Once I tuned it, it's very playable.

The neck is a little rough, it didn't come as nicely finished as the Jackson Minion Rhoads I got a while back. Frets are nice though. No complaints for a sub $200 guitar. I don't think I'll be playing Scarified on it, but I can't play Scarified on anything else either.
