Reamping with a flick of a switch

Hey guys
I was wondering if there's a way to reamp in axe fx 3 with a reamp box that i can flick a switch on it and reverses signal and then I can sit through the track and it reamps the DI in cubase. I was thinking the little labs red-eye 3D reamp box?

So my setup consists of cubase 14 with aufio interface: RME UCX and axe fx 3 whoch is connected to the RME via xlr & SPDIF but i only use SPDIF to reamp.
I find it annoying to always remap to spdif to reamp hence was wondering if there's a hardware i can buy and connect that will just flip the signal direction.

So: reamp box is plugged into one of the line outputs of my rme, I change the output of the guitar DI to the output of the reamp box, and then create a new track with the input set to the axe fx output

I connect via USB and have my template in my DAW set so DI tracks are all set to reamp. I don't have to change anything on Axe. I just set up a new stereo track, unmute DI track and hit record. Not sure if that was helpful just saying its really easy to do without anything additional.

oh nice what DAW and audio interface you using?

Sorry for delay I didn't check back on this. I use the Axe3 as interface and go USB. DAW is Studio One but DAW won't matter. GlennO who responded is really knowledgeable on this. See the links he posted. I'm pretty sure the method I use is from Cooper Carter video. I'm no expert I just keep it as simple as possible.

Here is my cheat sheet on it:

1- In Axe Edit setup I have Input 1 set to Analog and Midi/Remote word clock to internal, digital input to AES. I don't think I changed those but I can't remember.
2- Inputs in DAW: Set L+R Stereo to channel 1,2. Set L to 5 and R to 6 (I only use L for mono).
3- Outputs in DAW: Create new Output channel called Reamp and set to 7,8 for Stereo or 7 for mono (I use stereo).
4- Record mono DI track (and stereo wet at same time if you want).
5- Set DI track output to Reamp out
6- Now when you play that DI track it should be reamping. You can hear it in the mix to dial in.
7- Set up stereo track and record it.

It's really simple and works well. I hope that helps.

Ok cool but are you using a reamp box or some kind of hardware to flip the signal??

As I mentioned above, you can use a performance knob on the AxeFX if your goal is to use a physical knob to quickly redirect the input. A reamp box isn’t going to be of much use in this situation. Alternatively you can use the method ToneLabRat described and use your mouse in your DAW to send the DI to the AxeFX. That method requires you to modify presets before they can be used for reamping though, so I prefer the method demonstrated in the tutorial above, which allows you to use any preset for reamping.
