Purely for experimental reasons I was messing (mostly to get more aquainted with front panel editing) with his patch to see of ways to incororporate my present live patch(s) with his dual amp idea.

I have a pretty straight forward setup, clean patch(not applicable here) main rhythm, lead w/delay(+momentary trem/pan for 1 song), lead w/wah, lead w/phaser. So, 4 basic dirty patches.

Likely a stupid question, but his patch tips the scales at about 93% CPU load, and any editing to incorporate my experimenting sends it into orbit.

I have a feeling it's going to need an amp chain removed to make it possible? Even removing a block to add one of my own exceeds CPU.

Not having any seat time with Scenes yet, would that be a "solution"?..

I believe scenes will only allow you to change the parameters of the blocks but not the layout of the preset, so no I don't think scenes will be your solution. Unless you are switching on and off different signal pathways that utilize the same overall layout.
