re:clicking/crackling in preset

drove me f(&^% nuts for months...off and on...then read about rubbing dryer sheet over pick guard....well f(&^%$ AWESOME it works and sound improved lots....go figure...thx who ever posted that....cheers.
 
Does this happen with a properly grounded guitar? I've got a new for me 98' SG, and never experienced such noises, I guess it's a matter of time.
 
Sounds like digital clipping or you are overloading your CPU either in the unit or the interface or pc you have the USB plugged into.

Check you CPU level on the unit.TurnIf it's not a slow computer or the axe fx CPU then turn the gain down to see if it goes away. Also do open the audio control panel for the.axe fx on your computer. Make sure that sample rate is at 48000. Do the same in your recording software. Try increasing the buffer to 1024 also.
