Legacy Raw EVH 5150 III TM results

Hey guys,

EVH 5150 III is one of my favorite amps along with ENGL Savage and Marshall JVM. Unfortunately, I have not been unable to bring one back with from my foreign trips. As much as I love the 5153 models on Axe Fx as they are, I had a friend do some reference clips for me so I could TM it. Here are the results:

Sorry about the confusion guys. They are both Axe Fx Clips.

Unboosted (Drive block disengaged)


Same settings as above just boosted with a TS808 (Drive block and used Enhancer block)


I think I got pretty close to the reference clip and I am having an absolute ball with my Axe Fx II.

I dont get what I am listening to? what exactly is the first vs the 2nd clip, if they are raw real and boosted axe fx, why compare apples to oranges? That being said I like the 2nd better. Is the second supposed to be a TM of the real amp but for some reason you also threw in the boost?

Fixed the description. Sorry about the confusion. They are both Axe Fx clips man.

Very cool, I wonder if u could try to get close with the axe only vs TM, what did u find missing in the Axe Preset. Would u mind sharing youre TM presets? Would love to try, nice sound and playing!
 
Sure I will share the patches. I am out of town right now for a work related trip. Friday night I will upload the patch.

I always find something to be lacking in depth and punch when not TM'ing.
