These things have amazing high gain sounds, some of the tightest and cleanest around and it would be awesome if there was a selection of them on the Axe.

Yes, they've been asked for before, but I don't mind asking again!

Would love one of the classic solid state amps (RG or Century like Pantera) as well as a few of the newer Mike Fortin Randalls like the Ultimate Nullifier, Satan, or KH103.

Heh... 10 years later, they are still being asked for.

Agreed, a notable and lamentable omission. IMHO.

I've got a RG rack (like Dime used to use). I'd be happy to let Cliff borrow it...it's just collecting dust in the basement.

I wish that could be arranged, high end Randall tone is out of this world for metal. It seems like there are others that agree and it's just surprising that they aren't already included amongst some of the less common amps with the selection on the Axe, not complaining with what we've got but it would just be amazing to have these at our disposal!!!!

I would love for cliff to start modeling some of the more esoteric amps, but realistically I don't think he's interested in stuff like this.

For one, it's a small market of people who want these amps (and thus is probably a less profitable use of time than, say, other more popular amps that aren't yet modeled).

And second, it's a solidstate amp and the unit seems more aimed toward modeling tube amps. The only solidstate amp in the box is the Roland JC120, and I think even that one is fudged as close as he can get as it still has tube type options in the deep settings.

The whole tube vs. solid state debate; I'm not much of a purist when it comes to that. When it works and sounds great...well...it sounds great! Bottom line.

The old Randall RG-100 sounds massive. Would love to have that head in the Axe.
