Question About Snapshots

If I take a snapshot of a preset with Axe-Edit, reset one or more blocks (specifically the amp block), and then restore the snapshot, what does the restore put back in place? If I use a snapshot to save amp settings, reset the amp block after a firmware update, and then restore the snapshot, does the restore operation essentially revert the that preset back to the older firmware, or do I get the improvements of the new firmware and still have my old parameter settings?

It puts it back to the state it was in when you took the snapshot. In your specific example, it'd undo the reset you did on the amp block. If it was settings made with older firmware, those settings would be restored.
