Question about drives and boosters

Hi folks!
It seems that the drive knob in every boosters doesn´t drive the sound, just push the amp increasing the overall volume as the level knob does. Is that correct? I use a real amp.
On the other hand, what is the warmest overdrive in the axe ( have no time to try them all) Thanks in advance!!!

Yes, but it's not exactly the same as increasing the level because it also gives a bit of compression and just a touch of drive, it depends on the boost type. I often use the fas boost to emulate the colorsound powerboost and with my strat it begins to add a light distortion at about 3-4. I change this parameters to emulate the colorsound:
Low cut 24 Hz
Hi cut 6800 Hz
Bias 0.360
Slew limit 1.50
