Question about cabinet & poweramp

I have recentl tested and ampeg svt401he bass cab with 8ohms.
But my poweramp with axe-fx 2 is the Matrix GT1600 with 4ohms.

What I'm loosing with this ampeg svt 410he cab in 8ohms?
Should I look for a bass cabinet with 4ohms to match the matrix gt 1600 ?

That 400W 8 Ohm cab looks like a good match.

Actually, the Matrix GT1600 is not "4 ohms" .. it is quite happy driving anywhere from 4 ohms to several hundred ohms ( or even no speaker connected at all ). 4 Ohms, 8ohms, 16 Ohms ... whatever, the amp is quite happy.

The GT1600FX will producs 800 watts into 4 Ohms on 1 channel, and 480W into 8 Ohms, so on first glance it looks a good match for that speaker at 8 Ohms.

If you really need to push it louder, there are ways and reasons why it could be safe, maybe I'll do a post on speaker ratings when I get 10 minutes
