Quantum 1.05 vs 1.06 DC30 Test

Quick clip, some lightly picked stuff vs power chords. 1st clip is 1.05, second is 1.06. 1st pass is basic amp tones, 2nd is 1st stage od, 3rd is heavier od. Cab is an OwnHammer I'm beta testing. Guitar is a Duisenberg Fullerton CC, Bridge position.

I feel like 1.06 has more clarity, single notes feel bigger/rounder. Is pretty apparent when playing, feel like it is in the clip as well. Let me know what you think!

Well the second clip sounds better, but it's also louder - defenitive is the second clip more of warm and full sounding - more transparence

I just loaded 1.06 and hit record, didn't change any parameters, perhaps 1.06 is a bit louder, who knows.

If the soundcloud waveform is to be trusted, 1.06 seems a bit more dynamic as well.

I hear more of a deeper growl when the heavier OD kicks in, much more defined texture in 1.06.

I went from 1.01 to 1.05 then 1.06.

I really felt like 1.05 lost a little clarity to my ears. It came back in 1.06 for me.

Yeah, the loudness thing must be a FW thing. I literally updated then hit record. Changed nothing in the patch.

Yes, the difference is very subtle, but the Q1.06 clip is more open sounding to my ears.

Sounds like 1.06 is fatter somewhere in the 200-400hz range. Probably feels better too.

also had our tech guys and 3-4 guitarists in the audience who hear me play every weekend asking what was different tonight, etc, that it was "my tone" but better, clearer, bigger, etc.

1.05 sounded better. 1.06 was boxy in the mids and muddy.
