I would expect it to take a little longer. If you assume some things (which of course makes us all asses or however the saying goes), then AX8 3.0 will include the recent changes from the FX8 update (display stuff plus some bug fixes) and the Axe-Fx update (Transformer Grind, a new amp, plus more bug fixes).

I'm hearing and feeling a big difference between AX8 Q2 and AxeFx Q3 but content until it becomes available. I'm sure there are more changes to the AX8 than just keeping up the AxeFx amp modeling. Take your time and make it rock!

It's the interface tweaks hinted by the last FX8 update that keep me on the on the edge of my seat.

Same here. I'm more interested in the interface updates than Q3. I'm sure Q3 will be great, but improving the usability is definitely needed.
