Prompted to update from 7.2 to 8.3 but just goes in loop

Hi, I am running 7.2 but when I start it, I am prompted to update to 8.3 which it appears to start but then just loops back to the "update" message to start again. How can I force the update?

In your Home folder there is another folder called "MFC-101". Inside that folder there is a file "mfc-edit.dmg". Locate that with Finder and double-click on it.

:) Glad it worked for you.
When 7.2 was first uploaded to the servers the MAC version had an update bug. We fixed it as soon as we found out about it but those people who upgraded to version 7.2 before the newer build got the bug and this workaround is the only way to overcome it. Sorry about that.
