Programming secondary functions (CC's) for IA switches in reveal mode

Hello,

Is there a way to change the behaviours of the IA switches when in Reveal mode?

I'm using the MFC101 with a mesa midi matrix and Eventide H7600.

I currently have the MFC101 set up so that I have 5 presets, 10 IA switches assigned as external controls of parameters in the H7600, tap tuner and mute...

*** What I would like to achieve is upon pressing of the reveal button, is all 17 IA switches would allow me to change tweaks within the H7600 (so different CC's and values as opposed to preset mode), it's like Eventide's version of scenes.

I personally think this midi controller is very powerful in the world of midi controllers.

Any positive input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Not sure of the question - yes, that's what reveal mode does. In my case, I have switch 1-4 changing presets (actually scenes in Axfx via the Axfx's preset mapping feature) - when I hit reveal, switches 1-4 become control switches sending CCs to my Axfx and/or outboard gear.

Thank you for your reply!

When you selected Reveal mode How did you change switches 1-4 to control switches that could send CC values?

There's no special treatment for the "revealed" switches - set them up like your other IA switches (go to EDIT > MIDI > IAXX menu items to set the CC and On/Off values). The "BankSize" parameter (EDIT > SETUP > BANKSIZE) determines how many switches will be assigned to preset selection (in my case, BankSize=4), and will also determine which IA switches will be accessible only via "Reveal" (in my case: switch 1-4). Give the manual a look as it's also explained there.

So in your case, you would set up all 17 IA switches - the additional 7 in the same way you did for the first 10. Setting BankSize to 5 will give you access to 5 presets via switches 1-5 not in reveal mode, and IA switches 1-5 in reveal mode.
