Problem setting up Solo Boost (volume boost) on MFC101

I apologize in advance for my confusion...I want to set up a volume boost on the MFC101, to be used for solos and other things. I came across the following:

Hi guys. I set up a GLOBAL boost which works for all presets. Here's how:
Set an IA SWITCH to "NONE"
Set its CC# to that of OUT1 VOLUME
Set the OFF value to "111" (the unboosted level)
Set the ON value to "127" (the boosted level)

But I'm having problems.
Here are my steps:
I want the Boost button to be where the Compressor comes default in the MFC101 (2nd Row 1st switch), which is IA06 I believe.
I press <EDIT> <MIDI> <PAGE R> 6X
I use <UP> to get to IA06, the PARAMETER to change it to none.
Then I hit <PAGE>, use <UP> to get to IA06, hit <PARAMETER> twice to get to the CC#, change it 011 for OUTVOLUME1 (after much googling, I found a list of CC#s on the old forum. I'm assuming this is the correct CC# for OUTVOLUME1?)
Then I hit <PAGE>, use <UP> to get to IA06, hit PARAMETER to change OFF to 111 and ON to 127.

OK, so I go to any patch, hit the switch, and no difference in volume.
Any thoughts as to what I did wrong? I went back in and verified the parms are what I typed above.

OK, I have it working. On the IO menu on the Axe under CTRL, next to OUT1 Volume it said 1, changed it to 11 and its working.
Does this mean when my mission pedals comes and I try to hook it up for volume that it won't work? I thought I read that on a post somewhere...
