Presets and Scene Switching

Good day,


Question for all of you know know way more about this than I do.

Using an AX8.

For certain songs, I would like to be able to switch from Tone A) a heavy, distortion rhythm tone to Tone B) a clean, shimmery tone, and vice-versa.

Im using different amps for my distortions and cleans.

Is there no way to switch from tone A to tone B just as presets, without having to use scenes?

And if scenes are the only way to go, how does one switch from Tone A to Tone B that use very different settings?
 
Press Preset Select (F1 by default) then choose a preset. Have you looked at the manual?

Just make two presets, each one with a tone that you want. Then change presets when you want to change tone.
 
You can set up a footswitch to take you directly to any preset in the current bank.
 
Set up preset 1 for clean, on preset 1 footswitch one should be set to preset 2

Setup preset 2 for distortion, setup footswitch 1 to preset 1

Then press footswitch 1 to go back and forth from presets 1 and 2

Or use amp x/y function assign it to a footswitch

That wasn't clear from the first post so we answered as we did.

As mentioned, assign a Preset switch rather than a Scene switch.
