Presenting... The Axe-Fx III

True, it is a bit strange how they can announce a new product but have no info on it - and the FC6/12 appears to still be in the planning stages - oh well I gues all will be reveiled at some point :)
Umm... no info?? I thought there was actually quite a bit of info for this stage. I mean what do you expect when they are still in pre-release phase and probably making adjustments to the Firmware and Axe-Edit the whole time we are discussing it and speculating on the thing.

I don't know where you guys come up with this. The FC's appear to be on the same path, a little farther out but damn. No where are they in the planning stage. Fractal said they just didn't have them in time for the pictures. You guys come up with the damnedest things sometimes.

Wow, just wow! Major kudos to Cliff and the whole team, this looks incredible. You took the best product in the world, and just kicked everything up several notches. Definitely worthy of the "III" moniker, and although I don't need it, it's absolutely compelling at $2499.

Congrats FAS! Very exciting! Do I need it? Not until after I get it and find out what I can do with it.
I am hoping the FC12 will be ready to ship with the AXIII.

Any chance of some Axe-FX III gut-shot porn? Has there already been some I've missed? Looking forward to ordering one this coming summer.

FC-6 is a great option. Nice size for a studio floor , or stage.

With the seamless amp switching and 4 channels for most blocks , alot can be done with only a few buttons. Really cool.
It would be great if the wait list for the Axe-Fx III , would also act as a wait list for the FC units when they come available. :)

Curious if the FCs will allow for buttons as "Control Switches" like on the AX-8? As an Axe Fx user, that idea is appealing to me.

For sure, there will be the possibility to chose between 12 configuration on the Fc-6/12, so much better than on the Ax8.

They signed up for an invitation to purchase an Axe III when it's available. :)

Yeah but what is the axe-fx III? At this point it's like "what is the matrix? the matrix is everywhere. It is all around us. even now, in this very room."

I just feel it's natural to showcase the product, it's not that I don't think it will be great and all - I just don't understand why it should remain such a mystery when it's kind of done.

Okay there may be some fixes here and there, but I think it's natural to make videos of a new product and show it to potential customers.

In addition to a picture of the back of it, how about a video of someone connecting stuff and showing people examples of how it can be used. I really don't think this is much to ask for.

I'm not saying make something like the official introduction video to the Samsung Galaxy S8, just something simple.

Anything. Something like what Pete Thorn does in this video, only for the axe-fx III

The product page goes into considerably more detail than that. :) The posts in this forum go into much greater detail.

From the rest of your post, it sounds like videos would solve the mystery for you. True?

Videos will come. For now, people are spending their time on other things, to get the Axe III into people's hands as soon as possible. I suppose they could set that all aside and make videos, but I'm glad they're not. :)

Depending on how Layouts are implemented may or may not make them live performance friendly. I don't like Reveal Mode live... Too easy to forget the mode you are in.

Control Switches are another way to allow for controlling multiple things with one switch that isn't a Scene.

It would be nice if some more beta testers would make some videos about some of the most asked about features. A little tough to cover certain things without the new FC controllers, but would still be cool? I know I would if I had one.......

Thanks to those that have put some out there.:)

Firstly, product launches are lots of work. From what I understand, FAS is a small team, and I bet they wanted to let us know about the Axe FX III as quickly as they could. Patience. :)

Secondly, the mystery is fuelling all kinds of excitement and discussion here and beyond. Anticipation is powerful and a useful community engagement function.

Sorry if this has been asked before, I might've missed it while reading through most of this thread and skimming the titles of the topics in this subforum... But, is the number of available scenes per preset still 8? Are there any options to increase it to maybe 10 (or even 12)?

The number of amps alone has increased from 4 to 8 effectively, with the introduction of channels. So, to utilize that together with a variety of effect combinations in a single preset, 8 scenes might be somewhat limiting down the line.
