Powering MFC-101 into Axe II

Guys, is this the 7 pin I would need?
They're called 'Din' cables over here..

I doubt it since the description says

Overview
The Hosa 7 Pin DIN Controller Cable (7.6m) is a Seven Pin Din Controller cable for use with ADA brand MP1 Guitar Preamp and certain Rocktron Devices. Note, this is not a MIDI cable.

If they have a good return policy it might be worth a try but it looks like it's a cable for use with specific brands of gear, not general midi.

I'll just stick with powering the mfc at its power input and run a 5 pin.

No problem. I searched that site & they had no 7 pin midi cables but plenty of 5 pin. I did find this site in NZ that has the option to order a 7 pin. Might be worth checking out:

The phantom power should not exceed 1000mA per the manual.

Also, just be aware that you don't want to exceed 20 feet on your midi cable... The phantom over 7 pin is very hit or miss and the longer cables are less likely to work.

My MFC-101 power supply finally failed - cord frayed and failed at the point it met the wart.
