...depending on the sound guy. Many of them will give you dear-in-the-headlight eyes when you tell them you want to run direct.

The great thing about the Axe FX II is I can have presets for direct in stereo, direct in mono, or if I need an amp in the room, presets for 4CM, or simply FX in the loop.

It is super flexible and I have had nothing but an easy time with any setup.
