Phillip McKnight tours the PRS Cort factory where SEs are made

Very cool video. I just got an SE Starla, my first PRS. I now have 3 Indonesian guitars (Yamaha Revstar Standard which comes stock with stainless frets, Sterling Music Man Valentine Chambered Bigsby, and a PRS SE Starla hardtail). I'm really impressed with the quality coming out of Indonesia these days.

Makes one wonder how much longer the guitar that are made in the U.S. will continue to be made in the U.S. I know for some that is not a concern but fundamentally from an economic standpoint U.S. makers will have to make an import line to compete which a lot have or close their doors.

The quality of the guitars that are being made over there is undeniable! but to have to pay 3,4,5k+ for a all U.S. made guitar has become unobtainable for most people that live in this country which is pretty bad personally speaking. Maybe that just going to be the way it is I don't know. At some point only the wealthy will be clients of U.S. made guitars.

Saw this show up in my youtube feed, but didn't watch it until I saw your post. Thanks! It's a nice review of the factory.

Lived in China for almost 20 years. Quality can be achieved anywhere, you just need patience, training and dedication. PRS seems to be on top of things being on the factory floor interacting and caring about workers. Thumbs up!
