Phantom power issue??

Hi,

Can't power up my Axe Ultra using a 7 pin Rocktron midi cable via my MFC. It doesn't matter whether i connect the power supply to the Axe (phantom power input) or the MFC only the MFC powers up, i need to connect the designated power supply for the Axe for it to power up.

Tried with 5 pin also, still no power to the Ultra.

Any help would be greatly apprecited.

Thanks

You cannot power your Axe fx through the MFC. You can power the MFC by connectin che power supply to the phantom power input , but the Axe Fx still needs the power cord.

Thanks.

So power cord to power Axe FX and power supply to phantom input on Axe?

Sorry if i am not making sense but i thought that as long as they were connected via 7 pin midi (pins 6,7 would supply the power) the 9v power supply that i use to power the MFC would power the Axe?

Cheers

Yes to your first question. In this way you give power to your MFC thanks to the phantom power on 6 and 7 pins of your 7 pin midi cable.
The idea is that you can locate your MFC everywhere you might need on stage without caring of power sources.
The Axe fx works at 110v/220V, I think that it would be very hard to power it with a 9v supply.
Have fun with your Axe Fx and MFC ;-)
