PC Windows 11 IT Help

I know there are a lot of IT people on this forum so I thought I would ask here. I just noticed my Windows11 PC has a new almost invisible box. You can see it below just above the lower tool bar. My cursor times out in this and does not work. Could it be some kind of virus and if so how do I get rid of it? McAfee antivirus does not detect it. Or is it some new feature that comes with Windows 11. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks.

Run Task Manager and see if there’s a process or app. running. If there is, kill it and see if the box goes away. Likely a bug.

[Edit]

“Start the Task Manager and look for a process named "Search" with an orange icon. Open up the process group. If there is more than one "Search" sub-process kill the bottom one. If the window doesn't disappear kill any "Search" sub-process.”

It’s a bug.

“This is currently a known issue in Windows 11 when the mouse cursor hovers over Search and there have been several reports from other users experiencing the same problem.

**Restart Windows Explorer
Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.
Select the Processes tab.
Scroll down and select Windows Explorer, Right click then select Restart.”

At first it looked like a desktop preview. But I do get some lingering graphics in Win 11. It's usually a Teams msg notification in the bottom right that doesn't go away until I re-login.

I'm trying to figure how using the multiple Desktop treats the memory being used by the programs running on the 1st desktop. Does the RAM memory get written to disk or does it stay in RAM? We use CAD and other memory and graphic demanding software. My worry (and our IT folks') is that users will use the feature and mismanage their memory, causing crashes, losing work etc.. They already have a hard time understanding that their CAD drawings crash more often when they are running 30 programs at once. I've already gone back to my stock response I used to use back in my IT days: "Reboot and call me back" - click.
