Hey everybody!

Here are some clips I made of the OwnHammer 412 MAR-CB Impulse Response Library, which contains a speaker type I have never shot for any OwnHammer library and have been looking for flawless specimens of for a long time - that I happened to come upon late this past fall - pre-Rola 75 Hz G12H-30's, which I am absolutely in love with, especially in this cabinet.

Clip order is:

Classic Rock
Modern Rock
Blues Rock
Clean

All guitar and bass are using FAS Quantum amps, and OwnHammer speaker cabinet IR's.

Fun fact, for those of you OCD enough to check the date modified on the properties of the files, I've actually had this one done and sitting on the website since the second week of December of last year. SO happy to finally clear enough from my plate to be able to finish this demonstration media and launch this puppy, as I truly feel this is something very, very special, as you can tell by the range of sounds which can be covered exemplified above, all just using Quick Start content.

Enjoy!

Kevin, that sounds very very nice!
Your playing and songs are SICK too bud!
This must be the best sounding pre-rola pack out there, for my tastes.
Nice and open and very versatile it seems.

Kevin I have actually all the 412MAR-CB packs from you. is this a new pack or an update of an older packs like you did the "Mid" updates some time ago?

All new content. :)

I have several of the old G12M's and its representation here is completely re-shot in a way I haven't done before, though it is the same speaker type as found in the MAR-CB in the Marsh-UK so it will be similar. To this end, there are mics and mix types for the G12M not found in any previous library, so it has that going for it as well. The G12H is something I've never done before, ever, as I found the speakers this past fall when I was first working on the other V4 libraries (so after any previous Marshall libraries had been done) after a long search for some pristine specimens. I have always been a G12H guy, personally, and that speaker made this library something very special for me. All of the demo clips have the G12H in them either in their entirety, or as part of the mixed speaker files. The two speakers blend really, really well together, and compliment each other as they accent different areas of the midrange (G12M more the low mids, G12H more the upper mids). In this way, you can get a relatively predictable and even transition of sound in the mix files moving from pure G12M to G12M+G12H to G12H+G12M to pure G12H.

These also have the M+ files in them, like the other V4 libraries now have.

Hope that helps! :)

OMG OMG OMG! WTF LOL! This is the best library ever! What the hell happened? Kevin, you are the Kung-Fu Ninja Master of SM57! I opened the very first IR and BAM! Instant rock god! The mixes in these have always been great, but in this one everything is great, each and every one of the single mic captures is an album ready tone from the vaults of rock'n roll. I haven't loved any of Greenback IR's from anyone before, altough I have almost them all, altough I like greenbacks in real life.

Really, just today, I was just about to buy Greenback speakers for my 1960a, and just last week I got a new awesome mic preamp for shooting IR's with fancy mics. F*** all that, just get this library!

On the other hand, getting those Greenbacks might allow me to sound this awesome thru the real cab too! Hmm...

Thanks aziz, very happy this library was able to finally get you the greenback tone you've been hunting! :)

It may come as no surprise, but there is no EQ on the guitars on any of those clips except a 75 Hz HPF on the clean track. Other than that, the guitars went straight to the master bus after the IR save for any reverb and/or delay a couple of the non straight amp+cab tones had.

I think I found a bug that forced me to stop:

Ha! The venerable G12H-30, my speaker of choice (and the EVM), in a Marshall cab. I've been waiting for this, thanks Kevin! Those clips give a taste of its character.

Purchased and downloaded.

Loving it!

G12H-30 is also my favorite Celestion for Marshall rock.

These IR's really deliver a realistic up front tone with lots of clarity and rich harmonic content. Really nice. I'm stuck on the 121 IR and the Plexi 100 Jump. :)

Well I musst admid it sounds great with Marshall amps. Been trying some "Overview" mixes as we where recording today "Got my Mojo Working" in our homestudio where I was using the Marshall 50W High. Here is a rough clip oft the solo, not proper miixd or anything done to it. Just the Axe FX into Garage Band.

Kevin, I just purchased this set of IRs. When I logged in, I used to be greeted with a window that asked if I wanted to see the latest products, but the past few times that I have logged in, that is no longer available. I was fortunate enough to find out about the last two releases here on the Fractal Forum, but I want my preview window back! :D
